The Unforgettable Uncle.

It is never easy to write about a man who has been a guardian (Sarparast) not only to us, but also to all those who, at different stages of life, looked up to him first as a teacher and later as their representative. My paternal uncle, Hafiz Alam Sairani, carried forward the legacy of my father and became the voice of the underprivileged in Uttar Dinajpur.

For us, his own nephews and nieces, his sacrifices were remarkable. He never let us go through any hardship and played the role of a father in our lives. The depth of gratitude I feel towards him cannot be expressed in words.

An educated, erudite, and cultured person, he left his chosen profession of teaching to dedicate himself fully to public life. He remained deeply rooted among his people across religion, caste, or class and that rare ability to be one voice for all made him truly special.

An illustrious life, lived simply yet meaningfully, was cut short at 64, leaving behind countless hearts in grief. I know there will never be another Hafiz Alam Sairani, but he will continue to live in our memory forever. The best way to honor him is to walk the path he showed us
